How To Do a Sunday Supercharge

The past week I have been recovering from a pretty intense flu. It took me five days in bed before I could even leave the house. The week after that work was about all I could handle and I would come home all tired. For the coming week, I intend to pick up everything I have left during my time recovering. Here’s how I do a Sunday Supercharge!

Plan the week

It all starts with an overview of the coming week. I like to check out which work and personal appointments I have and allocate time to work out and work on personal projects. I put this all in my iCalender agenda and create a holistic view of my week. It gives me the opportunity if my time is allocated according to my goals that week, but also triggers me to plan nights off to do nothing.

Meal prep the next few days

To get a head start of the week, I like to prepare some meals for the next few days. I do this on Sunday because I do my groceries on this day, but also to keep the food fresh and tasty. For breakfast, I like to prepare a few mason jars (I know, very millennial, but they are actually really convenient) with overnight oats. I like the combination of vanilla extract with honey, lemon, blueberries and peanut butter in my oats. When it comes to meal prepping lunch I bake a big tray of veggies. My vegetables of choice rotate, but usually consists of bell peppers, pumpkin, sweet potato, broccoli, zucchini and eggplant. I combine a mix in a box and lunch is ready to go.

Do a little beauty ritual

In the morning, I like to put on minimal makeup and still look put together. To ensure this, I do a little beauty ritual on Sundays. I wash and blow dry my hair (which I only do two times a week) for a fresh head, scrub my face for smooth skin and paint my nails for nice hands. A little physical care can be just the little confidence boost to spice up your day.

Pack my bags

After some planning, I know what I will need on each day and pack my bags. I clean out my (Dopper) water bottles and thermos mug. I always put these in my work bag. Furthermore, I also like to pack my gym bag and an additional bag with stuff for swimming. These bags will be ready on the go, so I can grab up the ones I need when leaving the house in the morning.
