How to Seal Your Make-Up Deal

How to Seal Your Make-Up Deal

This week I am writing about something a little different than normal. Today’s blog is about all the products I use to guarantee a fresh look at the office, even on 11 hour workdays. It is about the tips and tricks for all #careerlion women that want to look good while they kick ass at work. Guys hold on, you might want to read this too for some gift inspiration for the holiday’s coming up for your girlfriends, sisters, mums and others important to you. Here is a short list of the products that you will want to use and why!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Original

I cannot remember a day that I did not apply eyeshadow when I decided to glam up, meaning at least all days to the office when I am not suffering from hay fever. If you want to wear eyeshadow to the office it is not wise to go without a little something called primer. Unless you want to look gross and wrinkly by the time your afternoon meetings start. I have tried primers by MAC and Too Faced, but my ultimate favorite is the one by Urban Decay in Original. This one is most long lasting, versatile and a no brainer every morning. The ultimate must-have for all #careerlion women.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

Liona introduced me to this one, the All Nighter setting spray. First, I was thinking “why do I even need this, as I haven’t pulled an all nighter in a loooonnngg while!”. Things changed when I began to think of it as an all day’er, which is much closer to home for me at the moment. The spray makes sure that all your morning efforts remain visible all day long. No need for touch ups when you have sprayed this on in the morning. Remind you to either do this before your mascara or after it has fully dried. You don’t want to start from scratch again after applying it, like I had to do once or twice now.

MAC Modern Twist Kajal Eye Liner Squid

Another one of those cruel things that can happen to your perfect makeup look, black eyeliner smudging into your crease like it is its life mission. There is nothing worse than this panda look forming when you are still busy at the office trying to rock everyone socks off, while you look like you shabby.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer

Long workdays seem to create some circles that tend to get darker and darker over time. Nothing worse than being tired than looking like you are tired and people asking whether you are doing ok. You don’t even want to look OK, you want to be looking glam while you kick ass at work. Well, that is why I advise you the MAC pro longwear concealer. This concealer is very fluid and therefore doesn’t leave you with lumps of concealer at the end of the day. It will have a very natural look and feel and can substitute a full-face foundation applying it only to your problem areas.

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil

If there is one type of lip pencils that will stay on after your cups of tea and coffee, then the MAC Pro Longwear collection is what you are looking for. These lip pencils have no plans of going anywhere any time soon, making them the perfect fit for #careerlion women. My favorite colour is “Oh Honey!”, which is a very natural colour. It is great for a more prominent natural look and a great match with lipstick colour “Velvet Teddy” by MAC. Make sure to keep your lips hydrated before and after, to make sure your lips stay smooth.

One of my other tips is to wear a waterproof mascara on your lower lashes. This makes sure that you don’t end up looking like a panda at the end of the day. I usually buy the same waterproof variant of my favorite mascara at that moment to do the lower lashes. You want to go with a brush that is not big, to make sure that you don’t apply it on the eyeshadow you just put so much effort in!

What are your #careerlion makeup tips and tricks to keep a fresh look the entire day? Do you own any of these products already or do you plan on making some purchases? Inspired for your gifts coming holiday season? Share it with us in the comment section below!
