Wax For Lunch
Having a career and taking good personal care are two interests that require the necessary time and might interfere. The weekend is usually meant for downtime that we do not like to dedicate to aesthetic appointments like waxing. But how do we make sure to not only perform like an amazing Career Lion and also look like one? Wax for lunch provides the answer. Instead of having your lunch in the company’s cafeteria, you go to the waxing salon to mown the lawn of your lady parts. Intrigued with the idea, I challenged myself (granted, my partner Lion in crime challenged me) and booked an appointment at Delete’s The Hague location. On forehand there were some points that triggered my interest. First of all, is it actually possible to have a wax appointment in the timespan of a regular lunch, which is 30 minutes? And second, how does one get back to work and not feel uncomfortable.
Granted, it was my first time and therefore my experience could be somewhat tense. Luckily the wax angel, as the practitioners are called at the salon I went to, put my mind at ease. The wax angel was very professional and friendly. More importantly, she got the job done in less than 20 minutes. Pleasantly surprised and curious I asked her whether there were actually women who went to wax during lunchbreak. She confirmed that this was not just a myth, but many women seem to really do so. The angel did add to that it were mostly women that worked in the offices in the neighbourhood. Because even though the procedure does not take any longer than 20 minutes, it does require some time to get to the salon. The most convenient solution would be if the wax salon is close to your office. So make sure to take this into account when making an appointment.
Now on to the real question: Is it possible to sit comfortably on your freshly waxed lady bits until the end of the office day? The answer to that question depends on your personal threshold for pain and frequency of wax appointments. To be quite frank, I would not recommend having your first waxing experience during lunchbreak. It can get quite uncomfortable in the waxed area. For me personally I was actually fine continuing my day at the office and I did not need to twist on my chair any more than usual. If I could give one useful tip: try to not wear pants on the day of your wax. A skirt and stockings are actually much more comfortable.
In conclusion: Yes it is possible to have a wax appointment during your lunch break and you will be able to continue your work in a comfortable manner. However, I am not a fan of giving up my much needed food moment and would only consider this when you’re having a real time crunch. So this solution is perfect for the die-hard Career Lions.
